In 2014, Ian Grellman, Tim Whan, and Peter Horton pooled their corporate and agricultural expertise to establish a company that addressed a market gap: helping farmers gain a deeper understanding of the supply chain and leverage the best scenarios for their business.

 

This initiative became Rain Agribusiness, a pioneering force in the agribusiness sector, offering innovative solutions and commodity brokering services across cotton and broadacre regions of Queensland and NSW. Our dedicated team specializes in brokerage services for cotton, grains, and pulses, operating within the primary growing areas of Queensland and NSW. As representatives for prominent industry buyers, we accumulate cotton, grain, and pulses at no cost to the growers.

Building on our success, in 2021, Rain-Ag took a natural step forward by expanding into the freight sector, a move designed to complement our existing commodity and shipping operations.

In early 2022, Rain Agribusiness introduced Rain-Ag Shipping Services, an integral addition to our business. We proudly serve as South East Queensland's newest grain export logistics provider, facilitating the seamless journey of Australia's bulk agricultural commodities from the farm to the world.
